...in the true appreciation of something, others understand its beauty including its sinews and complexities at once...

while others understand it only after a couple of times (of understanding it and trying to understand it )

and some...

pretend to have understood it.

The Road

There is a path through the woods.

A person walking the path will walk for a short time only before reaching the first fork.  One path becoming, in this case, two.  To continue, the person must choose a direction.  Right, or left?

After the person chooses a direction, they will go only a short time before reaching another fork.  On the left path, there are, again, two roads leading from the fork, and on the right path, there are three paths leading from the second fork.

A person will choose, and go only a short time before reaching another fork... another decision.  The person could be looking, again, at a spit with 2 paths leading away from the fork.  But, depending on their prior choices, they could also be looking at 3 new paths leading from this last fork, or even 4.

As the person continues the only given on this path is that they will reach another fork before too long.  The ammount of paths leading away from the fork, however, could be any number at all.

And so this path goes, onward to infinity, self-dividing.

If seventeen people take this path through the woods, all at the same time, but uninfluenced by each other, in five hours, they'd all likely be on their own way before too long at all...

LIFE: we choose, and our  choices define everything in our life that comes after them... and not just the big choices!  If we make one big choice every four years, and fifty thousand little choices in the same four years... we'd do well to consider the impact of the little decisions we make when we think it doesn't really matter.

NOW: so many times, we find it very easy to focus on the stimulus in front of us, and not the choices we make.  The path winding through the road already exists: we do not create reality as much as we co-create OUR reality, by our constant definition and re-definition of what direction it is that we choose to go.

There's a fine and ancient tradition that says: if you see a path through the woods, ignore it and make your own.

But in this story, “path splitting” represents choice itself… and so in theory, making a new road is just another form of path splitting; And on a new road that's fresh made, choices will follow as well.

And even if you are making a new road, the woods through which you travel predate your road…

Especially if we go super-mystic and begin speaking of the inherant non-linearity of all things.

We are making our choices, but perhaps in a universe with more than three dimensions, it can also be said our choices are already made…
it gets tricky :-P

The choices have been made, and are there…we just have to be willing to crawl.

Can be rough on the knees, at times.

Superman

Solitude gives me time to
contemplate,
process,
meditate,
assess,
and evaluate my life on several levels.
Like Superman's Fortress of Solitude. . .
I have a time or place
where I can go for
guidance
and assistance
when I feel off,
discouraged,
overwhelmed.
In that place of solitude
I can recharge
and take to the skies again
doing what I am meant to do. . .
as a
SUPERMAN.

...until we see for ourselves that we declared ourselves to be wrong (usually as 3 year olds), and we can declare ourselves to be OK ~
trust is an issue for all of us. (And it's not wrong that we did that ~
it is the only way yet discovered to create a conscious self awareness in language.)

They say that it’s hard to find a good cup of coffee
because everyone is selling it on every street corner
but it's good to find a great one.

There are good places to find well-made espresso and cool atmosphere.

Here I’ve found one that have impressed me.
Picture
'espresso drinks are consistently good in taste and quality'
If you're a fan of the taste of
Coffee Bean's and Starbucks Coffees,
I think you'll like this one too!
Picture
'atmosphere-very relaxed, a good first date place'
Picture
'great variety of flavors'
Picture
'Free WI-Fi Hotspot'
Picture
'staff is friendly and knows what they’re doing'

'KaffeRazo at Night'
KaffeRazzo is a small coffee-resto located along Aurora Boulevard near UERM Hospital.

The shop is open everyday except Sundays from 8 AM to 9 PM.
They also offer a Standard Deliver Service just within the area.

This a great brew, at any time of the day.

Definitely two thumbs up.

Full engagement determines a good education.

Full engagement with reality and all it has to offer is both the process and the end product of good education.

Of course, we have to manage our attention to ensure that we both expend and also recover our energy as we balance our practice of engaging with the world.

That's the core lesson of good education.

Looking towards the results an educated person have the ability to perceive accurately, think clearly, and act effectively to achieve self-selected goals and aspirations.

Most importantly an educated person is able to identify and acquire the knowledge, skills and information they need to improve their ability to solve problems and pursue goals.

An educated person does not rely on their own current level of knowledge and skill, an educated person is aware of how they are embedded within a community of both people and other life forms that can help them.

I just realized that the more you're engaged in your career, the further the need to get married becomes. Lalo na 'pag masyado mataas ang standards mo. Until you got the realization that you don't really need someone to complete your life. Sometimes the nights can be so lonely being alone. But getting the night warm through doesn't justify the need to get married. Love pa rin talaga ang driving force sa lahat ng bagay, maging career man o pagpapakasal at pagbubuo ng pamilya. Normal pa ba ako sa ganitong pagtingin?

When you're on the edge of death, nothing else matters but your survival and speedy recovery to a better life.
One moment, you are wont to give up the pain and be swallowed by the untraveled world. But then you realize that there is still a business left unfulfilled; you fight back, call the High Heavens for one final lease on life...It's now a question of how you'd spend the rest of your life.

Ano ang pinatutungkulan ko? Mahirap magkasakit. Lahat ng mga pangarap ay naglalaho kapag nasa gitna ka na ng kirot.

Sitting right where I am now,
in the comfortable chair at my desk.

This is where my morning meditations take place
and my daily dose of love, joy, grace
and peace of mind are bestowed on me.

Yesterday is gone, today has yet to be written,
my equilibrium has been re-established.

My tools for the day are stowed in the tool box,
and the fuel tank has been refilled.

Some time spent with the M of U has prepared me to go out
and face the day's challenge,
knowing that HE has my Back, and that I am not alone.

We are given enough Light to illumine
our life pathway one day at a time.
